When Richard Dawkins appeared on an Australian television show called Q&A, he was asked, ‘Why are you so negative about religion and belief? Why can’t science and faith co-exist as it were?’ Dawkins response was clear, simple and direct, ‘Because it’s not true’. For Richard Dawkins, there’s nothing beyond this, the physical realm. He believes the spiritual realm doesn’t exist, that science can help us understand the physical realm but to believe in the spiritual realm is just crazy. Can you be a serious scientist and have Christian belief?
